Autumn’s Sneaker Shortlist
Nothing exciting happening here. Just a girl with no money to buy new shoes coping by making a short list of sneakers she wants. Hopefully this will be informative for anyone looking to get me a graduation present (my college graduation is May 20th, by the way). In every case, the desired pair would be a women’s 9 (men’s 7.5).
I’ve loved these from the moment I first saw them. As an owner of four pairs of low-top vans, I’m ready to ascend higher to become a hi-top person. The bright yellow makes a statement that black or grey wouldn’t – a perfect choice going into spring and summer and even fall, because mustard yellow is my favorite fall color. These can be purchased online or in stores at Zumiez (Jordan Creek Mall, if you’re in the Des Moines area). PRICE: $64.95
I love every color of these listed on the website! The blue are unfortunately out of stock online, BUT if they return I would be happy with blue. Or, like I said, any color. I don’t have any New Balance, so I think it’s time to test out a pair and see if we have a connection. Purchase online. PRICE: $79.99
These are so weird and fun. I’m not SURE if I can pull them off, but, yeah, actually I’m sure I can. It’s important that if I get these, I get the ash pink pair, not the white. Adidas have changed my life and greatly improved the quality of living for my feet, and I’m excited to grow my collection as my first two pairs have become a little worse for the wear over the years. These can be purchased at the Adidas website. PRICE: (on sale!) $63
Adidas get a double shout-out today because, well, they’re the best. These simple black Gazelle’s would probably be the most practical pair of shoes on the list because they would take a while to show wear and would be most versatile. A classic if I ever saw one. Find these in stores at Journey’s or online. PRICE: $79.99
My goal with these shoes would be to look like an athlete and trick people into thinking I run. (I do run, but I’m not like a person who regularly runs, if you know what I mean.) Plus they’re pretty. I’ve seen these a few places, but Journeys is probably the best bet, in stores or online. PRICE: $99.99
I hope you found these shoes vibrant and exciting to look at and learn about. If you want to surprise me with some (be sneaky), that’s great! Otherwise, you don’t have to buy me anything and we can just talk about sneakers and how great they are, while I slowly save my money to check some of these off the list. Peace out!
